Ministry of Praise

The ministry is specially designed for the sick, disabled, senior citizens and the homebound of the parish. All sick, disabled, the homebound parishioners and senior citizens of St. Patrick are eligible to be formal ministers of praise. The Ministry of Praise is a spiritual ministry in which ministers offer all of their prayers, joy and sufferings as a sacrifice to God. They are asked to pray daily for the needs of our diocese and the needs of St. Patrick parish.

Purpose:

  • To provide for the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston a powerhouse of intercessory prayer for its many needs.

  • To give Bishop Bransfield an opportunity to communicate directly with the elderly, infirmed and homebound people of the parish and the diocese.

  • To provide an opportunity for our sick, disabled, and homebound parishioners to remain actively involved in ministry.

  • To place seminarians and ministers of praise in a partnership of prayer.
